I remember when we broke up the first time
seeing this is, and had enough, it's like
We haven't seen each other in a month
When you, said you, needed space, what?
When you come around again and say
Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change
Trust me, remember how that lasted for a day
I say, I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you

Oooh we called it off again last night
But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you

We are never ever ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
And my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

Like ever...

I'm really gonna miss you picking fights
And me, falling for a screaming that I'm right
And you, will hide away and find your piece of mine with some indie record that's much cooler than mine

Oooh you called me up again tonight
But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you
We are never ever ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
And my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

I used to think, that we, were forever ever ever
And I used to say never say never
Huh, he calls me up and he's like, I still love you
And i'm like, I mean, I mean this is exhausting, you know
We are never getting back together, like ever

We are never ever ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
And my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

Not getting back together, we
Oh, getting back together

You go talk to your friends talk
And my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together.

[Rihanna]
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
Well that’s alright because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
Well that’s alright because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie

[Eminem]
I can’t tell you what it really is
I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now there’s a steel knife in my windpipe
I can’t breathe but I still fight while I can fight
As long as the wrong feels right it’s like I’m in flight
High off of love, drunk from my hate
Its like I’m huffing paint
And I love it the more that I suffer, I suffocate
And right before I’m about to drown she resuscitates me
She fucking hates me and I love it, wait
Where you going, I’m leaving you
No you ain’t, come back
We’re running right back
Here we go again, it’s so insane
Cause when it’s going good it’s going great
I’m superman with the wind at his back, she’s Lois Lane
But when it’s bad it’s awful I feel so ashamed, I snapped
Who’s that dude I don’t even know his name
I laid hands on her, I’ll never stoop so low again
I guess I don’t know my own strength

[Rihanna]
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
Well that’s alright because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
Well that’s alright because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie, I love the way you lie

[Eminem]
You ever love somebody so much
You can barely breathe when you’re with ‘em
You meet and neither one of you even know what hit ‘em
Got that warm fuzzy feeling
Yeah them chills used to get ‘em
Now you’re getting fucking sick at lookin at ‘em
You swore you’d never hit ‘em
Never do nothing to hurt ‘em
Now you’re in each others face
Spewing venom in your words when you spit ‘em
You push, pull each other’s hair, scratch, claw
Bit ‘em, throw ‘em down, pin ‘em
So lost in the moments when you’re in them
It’s the craze that the corporate controls you both
So they say it’s best to go your seperate ways
Guess they don’t know you
Cause today, that was yesterday
Yesterday is over, it’s a different day
Silent broken records playing over
But you promised her next time you’ll show restrain
You don’t get another chance
Life is no nintendo game, but you lied again
Now you get to watch her leave out the window
I guess that’s why they call it window pane

[Rihanna]
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
Well that’s alright because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
Well that’s alright because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie, I love the way you lie

[Eminem]
Now I know we said things
Did things that we didn’t mean
And we fall back into the same patterns, same routine
But your temper is just as bad is mine is
You’re the same as me
When it comes to love you’re just as blinded
Baby, please come back it wasn’t you maybe it was me
Maybe our relationship isn’t as crazy as it seems
Maybe that’s what happens when a tornado meets a valcano
All I know is I love you too much to walk away though
Come inside, pick up your bags off the sidewalk
Don’t you hear sincerity in my voice when I talk?
Told you this is my fault, look in the eyeball
Next time I’m pissed I’ll aim my fist at the drywall
Next time, there won’t be no next time
I apologize even though I know it’s lies
I’m tired of the games I just want her back
I know I’m a liar if she ever tries to fucking leave again
I’mma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire

[Rihanna]
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
Well that’s alright because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
Well that’s alright because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie, I love the way you lie

These are both 2012 love songs that I hate. First of all, no one loves anybody's lies! Rihanna and Eminem's song "Love the Way You Lie," talks about cheating in relationships and how no matter what the love is sometimes to strong which I disagree. If the love is so strong, then why cheat in the first place? I'm 100% against cheating. Taylor Swift's song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," the title basically describes itself. I heard this song for the first time the day my boyfriend that I had been five years with, and I broke up. That is why I basically HATE that song.
"Everytime We Touch"

I still hear your voice, when you sleep next to me.
I still feel your touch in my dreams.
Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why
Without you it's hard to survive.

'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling.
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.
'Cause everytime we touch, I feel the static.
And everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so...
I can't let you go.
Want you in my life.

Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.
They wipe away tears that I cry.
The good and the bad times, we've been through them all.
You make me rise when I fall.

'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling.
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.

Pink's "So What" and Avril Lavigne's "What the Hell" are two anti-valentine songs which I enjoy very much. Both songs are dedicated to FEMALE POWER and how we should never depend on men. Just being strong and not caring at all about love is what both these songs inspire! They are just fantastic!

Worst & Best V-Day <3

So there I was, February 14 of I don't remember what year... It had been the first Valentine that I knew no one had a crush on me and I accepted it with dignity. When I woke up my mother said: Oh my! You dont have a Valentine for the first time. Later on we remembered a boy whom was a year younger than me that actually DID have a crush on me, or so I thought. I felt happy since I knew that at least someone would give me a present on Valentine's Day, but what did I care, he was just a little boy. In the middle of the day I saw him, his blonde hair, his blue eyes, and a dozen red roses walking towards me. Not knowing why I felt happier than ever. Several seconds went by and he changed direction going to a different target. As shocked as I was he asked another girl in that exact moment that if she wanted to be her girlfriend and my world turned up-side down. What the hell was I feeling inside? I had never felt that before. I noticed that I had fallen in love with what I considered a "kid" since he was a year younger. I couldn't believe it. That Valentine's Day sucked but eventually he became my boyfriend.

I have actually had some great Valentine's Days but I think that the most memorable one was the one where I had been doing some errands for my mother and when I got back I was really surprised. In my urbanization's gate was a giant banner that said, "TE AMO MARIA SOLEDAD." I couldn't believe it, everyone that entered or passed through could see what he had done for me. When I arrived home, there he was, my boyfriend, he had also decorated my whole room and I couldn't stop blushing. He had even got my favorite flowers, sunflowers. Many people don't like these "cheesy things," but I absolutely love them.

If you had not chosen this career what would’ve been your plan B?  OR What career or  academic path would you HAVE NEVER done?

If i hadn't chosen to be an English teacher I would have probably ended up being a psychologist since I like to listen to others and give good advice. I would have probably specialized in children since I love to work with them. I would have never been an accountant or anything that has to do with math or sitting behind a computer all day. I need to be interacting with others constantly to be happy.

After taking the career test, it said that my personality type is ENFJ, or in other words, the giver. As I read "my" description I was amazed on how much it described me. I think that the only thing I differ from what it said was that being alone would take me to think dark thoughts and that never happens to me. But, all the other things were right. I do feel satisfaction helping others, I am definetly a people person since I feel the need to be surrounded at all times, it is easy for me to convince others to do what I want but always with genuine intentions, and I am very loyal and trustworthy. Almost everything in the results of my career test were a perfect match! Even the only example of career that it gives, is the one thing that I am currently studying, becoming a teacher. I guess I chose the right path and I can't wait to start working.

When I entered the UPR system, I entered by psychology since it seemed very interesting and I just love to help others. It is now my second choice of life since afterwards I felt the need to be in constant contact with children and adolescents and I couldn't find a better way to be with them and helping them than by becoming a teacher. I wanted to be a psychologist specialized in both children and young adults, but being a teacher would be more satisfying for me since I would have the opportunity to get to know well my students and help them in any way that I can, but psychology would be now my plan B.

Prominent Thinkers and Most Influentials in Psychology
1. B. F. Skinner
In the 2002 study ranking the 99 most eminent psychologists
of the 20th century, B.F. Skinner topped the list. Skinner's staunch behaviorism made him a dominating force in
psychology and therapy techniques based on his theories are still used
extensively today, including behavior modification and token
economies.

2. Sigmund Freud
When people think of psychology, many tend to think of
Freud. His work supported the belief that not all mental illnesses have
physiological causes and he also offered evidence that cultural differences have
an impact on psychology and behavior. His work and writings contributed to our
understanding of personality, clinical psychology, human development, and abnormal psychology.

3. Albert Bandura
Bandura's work is considered part of the cognitive revolution in psychology that began in the late
1960s. His social learning theory stressed the importance of observational
learning, imitation, and modeling. "Learning would be exceedingly laborious, not
to mention hazardous, if people had to rely solely on the effects of their own
actions to inform them what to do," Bandura explained in his 1977 book Social
Learning Theory
.

4. Jean Piaget
Jean Piaget's work had a profound influence on psychology,
especially our understanding children's intellectual development. His research
contributed to the growth of developmental psychology, cognitive psychology,
genetic epistemology, and education reform. Albert Einstein once described
Piaget's observations on children's intellectual growth and thought processes as
a discovery "so simple that only a genius could have thought of it."

  • How important is technology in education?
  • Should culture be an integral part of the educational system?
  • How to help children become responsible teenagers?
We are living in the 20th century and technology is already a great part of our lives. I think that schools should definitely integrate technology with its curriculum since it is very useful now a day. Although technology is great for finding quick and accurate information it has also some disadvantages. For example, not all sites give the correct information; children may be exposed to pornography or other website that we may not be able to control. Also, I am one hundred percent in favor of students using their five senses to learn about different things in life, especially when they are little. It is not the same to show them pictures of different kinds of foods than to actually bring them food so they can decipher its texture, smell it, taste it, etc. Being able to have a variety of objects to demonstrate to your class is very important. So, I think there should be a balance in using technology in education since it has its pros and cons, but everything is good if you use the right amount.

Culture should definitely be part of the educational system. It is great for both elementary and secondary students to know more about their own culture so they can be proud of where they come from and be able to understand more about their country’s history, customs, and traditions. Not only should one’s culture be part of the educational system, but I think it is very important to integrate cultures from around the world. I think it would even be a great idea to have a culinary fest where students can dress up, make food, and distribute information of different places around the world so others can learn too.

One of the things that is very important for the educational system is helping students become responsible teenagers. I think there should be a class where they can learn how to organize themselves in their studies and in their lives. Helping them make routines so they can do everything with time. Also those classes should include sex education since they will all be going through stages where they will wonder and probably experiment. Healthy sexual classes are important for their protection since they need to know about the consequences of being a parent or sexually transmitted diseases.

Have you ever researched anything? I once researched about the emotions and how they affected children in school. Although I learned a lot I don’t really love spending much time in libraries and computers so I don’t enjoy researching as much. I have researched different things like places I would like to visit, news that have caught my attention or even my friends on facebook. But, if I was to research a topic I would choose one important for me. For example, I would research the main causes of why there is a great augmentation of students dropping from schools and I would try to find solutions to this problem. This is important for me since I want to become a teacher and would possibly like to open my own school some day.  The things I would research less would be maybe movie stars’ lives or things like this since I consider it a waste of time and I can be doing other productive things in my life.

Being in front of the sea feeling the warm sand touching my skin and listening to the ocean’s wave has always been my favorite place to be. Since I was little I have always felt a connection with the beach since it is the place where I feel the happiest. For this reason I chose the picture that has a table with two seats in front of the water since it gave me a relaxing sensation. It called my attention since a spot like this one is simply perfection for me and it reminds me of many different memories with loved ones I have enjoyed throughout my life. I would never trade living in this island since Puerto Rico is surrounded by beautiful beaches that I love to visit and I’m proud to say that I live where others vacation.

Searching for you...

Once upon a time there was a beautiful woman with cinnamon colored skin, red cheeks, and a white long dress that floated while she walked. As she was visiting places along the island a man caught her attention. He was tall, strong, with black hair, and he had a smile that lit up the whole town. Amalia stopped as she watched him help an old woman and as he finished their eyes met. They both felt a strong feeling that they had never felt before. It was then where Joaquin knew he needed to conquer that woman no matter the circumstances.

As he was walking towards her he noticed three men guarding her. Joaquin noticed she was not only the most beautiful person he had ever seen, but she was definitely a woman of class, with money, and protected by the high society. He knew he was nit good enough for her but he was sure that she had felt the same way when their eyes crossed path.

As he was remembering her once again he knew that one thing she must love was the beach since she had a colored body and burned cheeks. It was then when he decided to go everyday to different beaches until he finds her. Several weeks passed and he had never seen her again. One Sunday Amalia was sitting in the sand looking at the ocean while the warm breeze combed her hair and as she was looking at paradise she noticed the boy of her dreams walking in search of something. She quickly asked her bodyguards to help her prepare a table for two. When everything was prepared, Joaquin was nearby and she walked towards him asking him to join her. He was surprised and couldn’t believe what was happening.

Amalia and Joaquin started talking and he confessed that he was not from high class and that even though he would give everything to get to know her and be with her he did not have much. It was then when Amalia stood up, held his hand and told him to look at the sunset in the horizon. She then told him that the only thing she needed to survive was having him near listening to the sounds of the waves. Joaquin almost fainted. He never thought that the love of his life would be as simple as he was even though they were completely different. Amalia then thought she could buy him the thing he was searching for at the beach and asked him: “What where you looking for with so much enthusiasm around the beach?” It was then when he answered: “I had lost the most important thing in my life, but don’t worry, it found me.”

Caribbean Information

The Caribbean Sea is a sea of the Atlantic Ocean located in the tropics of the Western hemisphere. It is bounded by Mexico and Central America to the west and southwest, to the north by the Greater Antilles, to the east by the Lesser Antilles, and to the south by South America.

The entire area of the Caribbean Sea, the numerous islands of the West Indies, and adjacent coasts, are collectively known as the Caribbean. The Caribbean Sea is one of the largest seas and has an area of about 2,754,000 km² (1,063,000 sq. mi.).[2] The sea's deepest point is the Cayman Trough, between the Cayman Islands and Jamaica, at 7,686 m (25,220 ft) below sea level. The Caribbean coastline has many gulfs and bays: the Gulf of Gonâve, Gulf of Venezuela, Gulf of Darién, Golfo de los Mosquitos, Gulf of Paria and Gulf of Honduras. Tulum, Maya city on the coast of the Caribbean in the state of Quintana Roo (Mexico).

The Caribbean Sea was an unknown body of water to the populations of
Eurasia until 1492, when Christopher Columbus first sailed into Caribbean waters on a quest to find a sea route to Asia. At that time the Western Hemisphere in general was unknown to Europeans. Following the discovery of the islands by Columbus, the area was quickly colonised by several Western cultures (initially Spain, then later Portugal, England, the Dutch Republic, France and Denmark). Following the colonisation of the Caribbean islands, the Caribbean Sea became a busy area for European-based marine trading and transport, and this commerce eventually attracted piracy.

Today the area is home to 22 island territories and borders 12 continental countries. Due to the abundance of sunshine, year-round tropical temperatures moderated by the almost constant
trade winds, and the great variety of scenic destinations to visit, during the second half of the 20th century on into the 21st, the Caribbean Sea became a popular place for tourism.

Geology The Caribbean Sea is an oceanic sea largely situated on the
Caribbean Plate. Estimates of the sea's age range from 20,000 years to 570 million years. The Caribbean sea floor is divided into five basins separated from each other by underwater ridges and mountain ranges. Atlantic Ocean enters the Caribbean through the Anegada Passage lying between the Lesser Antilles and Virgin Islands and the Windward Passage located between Cuba and Haiti. The Yucatan Channel between Mexico and Cuba links the Gulf of Mexico with the Caribbean. The deepest points of the sea lie in Cayman Trough with depths reaching approximately 7,686 m (25,220 ft). Despite this, the Caribbean Sea is considered a relatively shallow sea in comparison to other bodies of water.

The Caribbean sea floor is also home to two oceanic trenches: the Hispaniola Trench and Puerto Rico Trench, which put the area at a higher risk of earthquakes. Underwater earthquakes pose a threat of generating tsunamis which could have a devastating effect on the Caribbean islands. Scientific data reveals that over the last 500 years the area has seen a dozen earthquakes above 7.5 magnitude.[4] Most recently, a 7.1 earthquake struck Haiti on January 12, 2010.

Ecology The Caribbean is home to about 9% of the world's
coral reefs covering about 20,000 square miles (52,000 km2), most of which are located off the Caribbean Islands and the Central American coast.[

During the past ten years, unusually warm Caribbean waters have been increasingly threatening Caribbean coral reefs. Coral reefs support some of the most diverse marine habitats in the world, but they are fragile ecosystems. When tropical waters become unusually warm for extended periods of time, microscopic plants called zooxanthellae, which are symbiotic partners living within the coral polyp tissues, die off. These plants provide food for the corals, and give them their colour. The result of the death and dispersal of these tiny plants is called coral bleaching, and can lead to the devastation of large areas of reef.

The habitats supported by the reefs are critical to such tourist activities as
fishing and diving, and provide an annual economic value to Caribbean nations of $3.1-$4.6 billion. Continued destruction of the reefs could severely damage the region's economy.[6] A Protocol of the Convention for the Protection and Development of the Marine Environment of the Wider Caribbean Region came in effect in 1986 to protect the various endangered marine life of the Caribbean through forbidding human activities that would advance the continued destruction of such marine life in various areas. Currently this protocol has been ratified by 15 countries.[7] Also several charitable organisations have been formed to preserve the Caribbean marine life, such as Caribbean Conservation Corporation which seeks to study and protect sea turtles while educating others about them.[8]
